Frequently asked questions
Are cardboard cooling boxes just as good as styrofoam?
In terms of insulation, they are very similar. A European patent has been obtained for the cardboard fiber insulation with a thermal conductivity coefficient of λ = 0.036 W/(m·K), comparable to EPS. In combination with the right gel packs, you can bridge 24 to 48 hours of transit. The big difference lies in the waste stream: cardboard simply goes with the old paper after use.
Can I really throw a cardboard cooler box in the paper recycling?
Yes. The boxes are made from 100% recyclable cardboard, paper pulp, and honeycomb fiber. After use, they can simply be recycled with old paper—no separate collection point needed like with styrofoam.
What is the difference between the Eco Coolbox, TempGuard, and honeycomb cooler box?
The Eco Coolbox is a sturdy insulation box made of compressed paper pulp, ready to use immediately. The insulated box with TempGuard is a corrugated cardboard box with loose paper insulation lining, delivered flat to save space. How long does a cardboard cooler box stay cold?
In combination with the right gel packs, you typically bridge 24 to 48 hours, from chilled (2-8 °C) to deep freeze. The actual cooling duration depends on the type of box, the number of gel packs, the outside temperature, and how full the box is.
What are cardboard cooling boxes used for?
For the refrigerated or frozen shipping of products such as meat, fish, meal boxes, chocolate, dairy, and medicines. Especially online shops and brands that are judged on sustainability choose cardboard because of its recyclability and premium, plastic-free appearance.

Yes. The standard sizes are available directly from our Dutch production. Orders placed before 2:00 PM are usually delivered the next business day. For larger volumes or custom work, you can request a quote.
